Few days ago we showed you some empty shells pretending they were boats for some kind of race. Here is something more than our words: in mid-May the “gozzetta” of “Shangay-Torretta” (which in Italian sounds as a rhyme) is training in the “Porto Mediceo”.Looking back in our files we have even found an image of the “gozzo” of “Salviano” already training in March, in front of the “Terrazza Mascagni”, where the “Palio” take place.

Nice, I love especially the second one with the ship in the distance.
Nice:) Great shots!
You really capture the difference between rowing in March and rowing in July. Wonderful.
They have a nice day to row about.
These shots sure give the picture! Looks like a lot of hard work - teamwork!
Pull! Pull!
Much easier to see now the difference between the gozzi and gozzette with the rowers seated in them.
I'm confused: is it gozzi or gozzo? gozzette or gozzetta?
Hilda, it's easy:
1 gozzo, 2 gozzi
1 gozzetta, 2 gozzette
Boats, boats, boats! Great photos of the row boats, motor boats and Cruise ship! Grazie!
Oh, singular and plural. Hee, I forgot about that! ;)
Thanks, Trillian!
A friend of mine who was a rower once told me it was so much fun except that now she has more muscular arms :). It is training for what event?
