The Road to Damascus

Paul on the road to Damascus, Via Marradi, Livorno
I found this relief in the hall of a building in Via Marradi. It probably represents the conversion of Paul the Apostle on the road to Damascus.

Very nice. It certainly conveys the drama of that moment. Glad you found it, VP.

That's a lot of detail. I like that it has just a little bit of color.

What a nice find. I also like these pale colours.

I think it's awesome the artist could convey the story within a square!

I like this bas-relief, it is beautiful, although it is unusual that it is been painted.

It is a beautiful relief, but it could also be an illustration of a Monty Python sketch. "It's only a flesh wound."
