On the
pendentives of the dome of the church of
San Benedetto we can see four angels. The reliefs are the work of the local sculptor Paolo Emilio Demi (1798-1863), who is also the author of the monument to
Leopold II of Tuscany in Piazza XX Settembre, just in front of the same church.

Art in historic churches are so delightful. These four angels and delicate and lovely.
Very beautiful indeed.
I will look at domes in a new way now that I know the term for the architectural element pendentive.
Thanks for another new word, VP.
Oh, and the angels are nice too.
I guess there are not many people who can do his work as good as him.
Always nice to see beautiful art.
very nicely sculpted :)
I second Revrunner. Beautifully done, VP!
These are beautiful VP.
Good idea to show them like this!
These are quite lovely. It is easy to glance too quickly and assume that each is identical. I enjoyed seeing the four different angels.
Good idea to show the four angels together, do they have a name?
