We have already seen the exterior of the “Palazzo delle Colonne di marmo” (Palace of the Marble Columns), built in 1703 for the merchant Ottavio Gamberini, probably by the architect Giovanni Battista Foggini.
An open front door allowed us a quick glimpse at the interior of the building.
After a narrow hallway we found a small colonnaded yard.

A lovely courtyard... and I do like that passage.
Aren't these two wonderful views, VP!
I would like this a lot...love courtyards for their space and all the light they let in. What a gorgeous building.
Lovely hallway and courtyard. That's an impressive building.
Beautiful architecture.
Glad they left that door open.
Nothing like a not-normally-open door to draw a blogger in.
Glad you got in (and out).
Beautiful inside.
Thank you VP. These are beautiful.
Gorgeous shots!
Love your first shot. Must be a special place!
I too liked the glimpse inside.
Che bel palazzo, davvero interessante! Ciao, Arianna
