Viale Marconi is a beautiful tree-lined street and had been my address for a quarter of a century. My mom still lives here and, luckily, neither of us drive a car.
The street is full of holes, probably because of the trees roots, and it is now dotted with ‘bumpy road’ signs and a speed limit of ten kilometers (six miles) per hour. Car accidents are common.
Petitions about the dangerous situation has been signed and delivered, but the only result has been this sprouting of garish traffic signs. Hopefully, the street would be resurfaced soon.

10 km/h that is a bit slow. You really need to buy a bicycle.
What a challenge, between the repaired street and the trees wearing leaves.
Please have a good new week.
That is a seriously slow speed limit.
I'll bet they are beautiful streets when the trees are in full bloom.
"Life in the slow lane"?
So nice to see the pretty street where you grew up.
If you think this paving is bad, you should see my street in the moshav.
E' nova...anche a Lucca quasi tutte le strade sono così :/ ciao, Arianna
You grew up in a beautiful place. I'm imagining those years you were playing here. :)
That is a beautiful street, so long as you are not trying to park a car. Always a struggle to get cities to maintain and resurface streets. Looks like spring is here.
It seems to be a peaceful street, very nice during the summer.
Your avenue looks lovely VP, that is a very low speed limit. Even in school zones here its 40 klms. Sometimes I think the having a car thing is overrated :)
Tree roots turn the Portuguese cobblestone pavements into a mess!
