Scali Cerere Footbridge

Dogana d'Acqua footbridge, Livorno
Here is how it looked, in September 2009, the old iron footbridge crossing the “Canale dei Navicelli” and linking Scali Cerere with Via Lamarmora, just in front of the “Dogana d'Acqua”.

The whole structure has been recently refurbished and its line is much better now with the side pipes included in the body of the bridge.

I managed to sneak across it, but the footbridge is not yet open to the general public.

Always a safe step ahead, and a good new week as well.

It looks good and is unquestionably safer now, but somehow it has lost a bit of its oldfashioned charm.

Looks like a lovely view from the footbridge.

I have been sneaking around a bit these days too! Good catch.

Ha, since when are photo bloggers part of "the general public"?! Good for you for sneaking across in spite of the red and white warning tape.

The bridge looks so much better now with the pipes hidden and the bottom elements showing.
