Piero Ciampi

Piero Ciampi, mural by Mart, off via Pelletier, Livorno
Piero Ciampi (Livorno, 1934 - Rome, 1980) was a Livornese singer-songwriter, a cult figure whose genius was widely recognized only after his death. This mural is not far from his birthplace in Via Pellettier.

(“Senza rete”, 1970)

I don't really like graffiti, but I do like this image. If you have to have graffiti, you might as well have nice graffiti.

Nice to see a man putting his whole self into singing his song without jumping around.
