Effetto Venezia 2012

Effetto Venezia, LivornoIt is that time of the year again, “Effetto Venezia” has begun. This time I was almost sure that there was no money for it, but they were able to find some funds somehow.Effetto Venezia, LivornoAfter Spain and France, this year's theme is Greece. The organizers felt somewhat obliged to specify “Mythical Grrece”: a clumsy tentative to distance us from our “brothers in debt”?Effetto Venezia, LivornoI am not sure if in planning the inauguration last Friday, in coincidence with the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics, they were overconfident or simply uninformed, but having watched bits of the London extravaganza, for once I will go with “Effetto Venezia”...

It is indeed bit of a surprise that in the end things continue over here, nearly as they were.
Hope there will be some nice food and wine from over here. Music probably as well. Please have you all a good Sunday.

This fair rekindled my past memory. The backdrop of the concert in the first shot looks really cool

Hard to please, eh, VP? :)

I like that expression "brothers in debt."

Dina - I hate TV and the rare times I watch it, I hate it even more.

To each its own, enjoy the festival!

Greece in antiquity was not an ideal place either. Today's games, flawed as they may be, still represent that noble ancient idea of nations coming together and competing peacefully.

You should go for a ride in the Ferris wheel and bring the camera with you.

Being a part of the 'brotherhood in debt', your commentary about the choice of the word 'mythical' made me smile. :-)
