I rather like this "modern" take on the alley. I'll take it over a dark, narrow, dirty passageway anytime!

You are so right, they aren't what they used to be! This one is so open and light and safe looking. ;) The usual thought of an alley is the opposite.

I have been so used to yellow-red-brown colors around narrow little streets, when I have been walking around in Italy (and France, so to me this is very very different.
Interesting and quite stylish.
