Very effective. It's stylish as it is (a least in the sun and in this picture!) but I like Small City Scenes' suggestion that a reflection would look good.
The colour of the wall and fake windows makes for a very nice background for the lamp! The first picture of the previous post also drew my attention, so neat! God bless you! Cezar
Ciao VP, the black lamp against the pastel terracotta color (brownish orange mixed with white) is quite bold and dramatic. The fake windows make interesting niches but for what...perhaps the birds enjoy sitting there. I LIKE this photo!
VP, that color is absolutely gorgeous. Now I am curious if these are windows that have been filled, or recesses that were put there to mimic other windows on the wall, or trompe l'oeil.

I like the color and the design.
-Enjoy your weekend!
Love that salmon color.
I like the lantern very much. I always thought windows like that were simply removed and boarded up and were not fake.
At least it's a nice-looking lamp!
a promise in the making.
please have a good weekend.

Must be a dark room.
I love the color on that building.
The colour of the walls and the simplicity of the lamppost work so well together!
I like the street lamp and I would paint pictures or at least a window scene on the fake windows. LOL MB

A nice contrast of a source of light next to a window through which no one can see.
I always wonder why they make fake/blind windows.
@ Clueless in Boston - You are probably right, I will try to discover something more about it.
@ MB - This would be a good idea!
@ Dina - Perhaps fake is the wrong word, blind is probably the correct adjective in this case.
Yes, I agree with MB. A nice trompe l'oeil! I think I have a shot of a street lamp a bit like this one. Let's see if I can dig it out.
nice contrast :)

Nice, very well seen!
Love that colour!
Lovely photo... lamp and color. I've been seeing quite a few of these closed up windows here in Bucharest too.

I love this salmon pink color. Very beautiful lamp, too :-)
I love the beautiful simplicity of your image.
Fun that you and Ciel from Versailles Daily Photo have a similar salmon colored building and lamp post posting in common!
