I have seen ships painted with garish colors or with cartoons on the sides, but this is my first boat with lips and eyes. This is the “AIDAvita”, a cruise ship of the “AIDA Cruises”.Built in 2002 in Germany, she carries 1200 passengers with a crew of 400 and is now a quite frequent caller at the port of Livorno.

I like those lips!
Heehee! Did you give her a kiss? ;)
Looks like a fun party boat!
Oh how weird. Crazy stuff. MB
A funny face indeed, and you found a good angle to photograph it.
Is that the painter's seat dangling??
@ Dina - That dangling thing signals the presence of a bulbous bow underwater.
Her lips are sealed
Very seductive.
I knew I had seen her before.....
She is beautiful, and I like the way you have photographed her!:)
Enjoy your weekend!
I have a close friend who collects lips, but I don't think this one will fit in her collection. :-D As always, VP, excellent captures... but I can't say I'm impressed by the cartooning of the adult world. Or is this a cruise line targeting children...?
At least they are not 'loose lips' ( :
Her livery is so interesting and colourful!
God bless you!
Cezar
Cool ship. Seems like a fun boat to cruise on.
Unica e molto originale,bella
The reference to Verdi's Aida and the class of the ships (Sphinx) point to something Egyptian...
I have read that this brand caters almost exclusively to the German-speaking market.
It's the cutest ship I've ever seen:)
Oh those lips! She's a beauty!
Germans, huh...? Hmmm... well the only thing that comes to mind is something I'd better keep to myself or it will surely come back to bite my butt. :-D
Ooh a sexy lady! :D
Fishing boats in Malta have eyes. If lips too, I can't remember.
A bulbous bow! I would never have guessed that in a million years.
Thanks!
And, who says that Germans don't have a sense of humour? I think the paint job is pretty whimsical.
love it, very cool ;)
