The “Canaviglia” bastion of the “Fortezza Vecchia” (Old Fortress) seen from the Capitaneria pier of the “Porto Mediceo”. The building on top of the rampart is the “Palazzo di Francesco”, built by Francesco I de' Medici. Just behind it we can see the “Mastio di Matilde”, which was the keep of the fortress. On the right, in background, the bell tower of “San Ferdinando”. (Picture taken last August)

That's impressive.
very nice architecture and good weather:)
This is really nice VP.
Really interesting and unusual!
I'm trying to imagine all this in days gone by...
Is this combination unusual or does it just look that way to me because I don't know any others?
I think the added part would look better if it would be restored to the old look.
I'll bet this is an exciting place to be during a raging storm.
Magnifica veduta! Ciao, Arianna
