Odeon Parking, Sardi Street

Entrance hall, former Cinema Odeon, LivornoThe only remaining part of our glorious “Cinema Odeon”: the entrance hall, which will be soon recycled as a retail space.New parking, former Cinema Odeon, LivornoThe passage on the right leads you to the parking silo and to the “Parco Centro Città” (City Center Park). On the left the trees of the Old English Cemetery.Entrance Odeon parking, via Sardi, LivornoLast but not least: it is probably still unfinished, but the ugliness and inelegance of the parking entrance on “Via Sardi” is simply beyond belief.

Well, the top building is my favorite, and the bright blue color is nice on the second image.
The entrance should have had a style that looked better next to the other buildings.....

Here we can`t figure out how we will cope with the traffic in Stavanger..... Each time it is discussed the price has gone up!

Feels a bit as if it eats the cinema, or what's left of it, up.

Lately our son asked, why there are so many cars in the streets. Had no really good answer.

Often, no matter where I travel, it seems that traffic is over powering most everything.

What a gorgeous facade VP. It is a pity that it was turned into a parking.

The entrance hall in the first image is just lovely.

When the first picture came up, I thought "Is there no end to beautiful buildings in Livorno?" - then the rest came up and I was answered.

Hmmm, it's the blue that I find kind of agressive here (strange I usually like blue). At least they are keeping the building...

Progress can be so sad.

I only in recent years learned the word odeon, and then in an archaeology context.

I remember your previous post about this. Sad indeed.

I hope it makes it as a retail space.

At least they won't tear down the Odeon entirely. Although I agree with you, the last thing we need is more retail space. :S

I like the ornaments on the facade in the first photo. If that metal gate is the entrance to the parking, it looks like the entrance to a prison!
