On a slightly windy day at the “Porto Mediceo” little sparrows tend to come close to you, looking for cover or for food. Fishermen are usually well provided with worms and sometimes they even throw some to the birds.I usually don't carry worms and I have always been quite happy with that, until this morning... Great pictures VP!
you catch the quick-pulsed fragility so beautifully in these, VP.
What a cute little poser!
They look like they are on the prowl for a scrap or two.
Poor little fellow! The battle for subsistence is tough!
So now you will walk around with worms? And I will spend the day humming the "who will feed a little sparrow..." song (as sung by Simon and Garfunkel...)
Even more than the photos I enjoy your writing here.
They come close indeed. You have made some wonderful images here VP. Birds are a favorite of mine.
I love birds and your pictures are beautiful!

I hope your pockets are free of worms! But then again, these photos may be worth it. So cute!
Little Sparrows are so sweet faced.
BTW: I am glad you don't have--um, I mean carry worms. MB
nice capture , cute bird :)
What great poses! Lovely shots, VP. You made me laugh for not carrying worms with you. How weird! LOL!
These little brown sparrows appear to be everywhere. We have lots of them in our back yard at home in Manila. We feed them breadcrumbs. Never even thought they'd like worms. And no, I don't typically worms around either... :-D
