Christmas Decorations
These are the results of a two-day strike of our garbage collectors, just before the weekend.
Sadly, even in these circumstances, the civic sense of most of the Livornesi is not very good.

Our city-owned garbage collection company is nearly bankrupt, but still managed to spend some money for these silly trash bins: “rifiuti a canestro” means “garbage through the hoop”.

Garbage Trucks
Our city-owned garbage collection company is in trouble: it has a big hole in its balance sheet.
Yesterday some of its drivers staged a demonstration driving their trucks in Piazza del Municipio, just in front of Town Hall.

Alien Garbage
Livorno is a city so neat and clean that scenes like this one are absolutely rare. Obviously out-of-towners are behind this: probably Pisans or aliens from deep space who are getting rid of their garbage here, out of envy of our spotless streets.
