Ten Years

Our blog is ten year old today. This photo of the Mercato Centrale (Central Market) is practically the same one of the first post, even if taken with a newer camera by an older guy, who doesn't live nearby anymore.
Oggi il nostro blog compie dieci anni. Questa foto del Mercato Centrale è praticamente la stessa del primo post, anche se scattata con una macchina fotografica più nuova da una persona più vecchia, che non vive più da quelle parti.

Eight Years

After 2924 posts and thousands of photos, our eigth anniversary finds us even more tired. We keep toying with the idea of completely shutting down the blog, but it has just found new life on Instagram, with a completely different approach for the same goal. Thanks to all our friends and followers!

Dopo 2924 post e migliaia di foto, il nostro ottavo anniversario ci trova ancora più stanchi. Continuiamo a pensare all'idea di chiudere completamente il blog, ma questo ha appena trovato nuova vita su Instagram, con un approccio completamente differente per lo stesso scopo. Tina

For most of us Tina Forrester was East Gwillimbury CameraGirl, a fellow blogger and photographer. Sadly, she died with her husband in a car accident a few days ago. We will miss her and her great pictures.

Seven Years

After 2558 posts and thousands of photos, our seventh anniversary finds us quite tired. We have been toying for a while with the idea of completely shutting down the blog, but we will probably settle soon for a less interactive approach, which sadly means less visits and comments to other blogs. Also “A Bunch of Benches” will end quite soon. We are absolutely not happy with this choice, but keeping four blogs for years is a time-consuming endeavor and this is the only option to keep at least Livorno Daily Photo still going.

We are happy to celebrate Livorno Daily Photo's fifth anniversary: with 1829 posts and more than 4000 photos published, this is something we never imagined to achieve when we started the blog. Blogitalia says that we are the first non-commercial blog in the Province of Livorno: not bad for a photoblog in English.
