Porto Baratti

Porto Baratti, IMO 9167887, port of Livorno
The tractor tug “Porto Baratti” was built in 1997 at the Ferrari shipyard in La Spezia. As you can see from the links below we have seen her at work many times, but this is her first and well deserved solo, a picture taken last October while escorting the “Rita Schepers” out of the port.

    What a great shot with the lighthouse in the background. This tug has an aura of strength and perseverance about her! Love the pic!

    Gorgeous photo of an important part of the port's functionality. The lighthouse in the background fits perfectly in the photo, too. It's very important, too, I'll bet. Thanks for this great photo!

    Hi VP. Thanks for your comment on Ocala. What you said about "free will" was interesting. Many neuroscientists today say there is no such thing. Sam Harris is one of them and has written a book called "Free Will."

    I'm not sure I agree with it all, but it certainly is a fascinating subject. You can check it out here (http://www.samharris.org) if you wish.
