The Gazebo

The Padiglione della Musica (Music Pavilion) was built in 1935 by the architect Ghino Venturi, when the Terrazza Mascagni was still named after the local Fascist leader, Costanzo Ciano. Destroyed in the Second World War, the structure was rebuilt in 1998 as closely possible to the original and now it is called simply “Gazebo”.

Il Padiglione della Musica fu costruito nel 1935 dall'architetto Ghino Venturi, quando la Terrazza Mascagni era ancora dedicata al gerarca fascista locale, Costanzo Ciano. Distrutto durante la seconda guerra mondiale, la struttura è stata ricostruita nel 1998 il più possibile identica all'originale ed ora è semplicemente conosciuta come “Gazebo”. Tiki

Some posts simply get lost, but I would like to salvage this one, even if it is out of season by now.

Last July I went to the Terrazza Mascagni and I saw several Tiki statues around the Surfer Joe Diner.
It seems that they were props to advertise their new Tiki Room. (Photos taken last July)
