Aw. I feel sorry for plants that are not living in/on the ground.
Hmm, I'm no gardener, VP, but I'm thinking a few sprigs of holly (American, of course!) might be called for here or maybe some pine boughs and pine cones.
It must have gotten too cold for the one on the right.
They'll come back in the spring.

I've had a few like this myself VP, but usually from excessive heat :)
