February's theme should be the answer to this question: “If you had to leave forever the city from which you usually post, what would you miss most?” A knee-jerk answer would be: “nothing”, but on a second thought I opted for my favorite spot at the entrance of the port. By the way, this is the 255-meter container ship “Tommi Ritscher”, escorted by the tugs “Alessandro Neri” and “C.te Contini”.

I like the vibrant color in this shot.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting choice.
ReplyDeleteIt's the sky that most appeals to me in this shot. I expect a number of people are going with a favourite spot sort of choice for this theme.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous shot.
ReplyDeleteYep, I miss watching the boats going in and out of harbor of one of the cities where i previously lived.
ReplyDeleteI opted for my favourite spot on the water, too, VP.
ReplyDeleteThe port, of course. And, as Michelle said before me, this particular scene has great color.
ReplyDeleteYou have picked a ever changing, interesting place to see all the interesting ships sail past. Love the colors in this picture.
ReplyDeleteWater seems to be important in many blogger's "I would miss most" posts! This photo has luscious colours, VP.
ReplyDeleteLove your choice for the theme day. Well done!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful clouds, cheers from Tilburg
ReplyDeleteI understand this choice so well VP, the harbour really is the life line to a port city.. one of my fav pastimes also.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you reconsidered and didn't really say "nothing."
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have a port to watch. :)
I am sooooooo pleased that your answer included a tug boat too:)
ReplyDeleteGreat choice VP so many of your beautiful shots have been at the port.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice. This would make a beautiful oil painting.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice.
The complexity of all is awesome.
I knew it would be something to do with the harbour...
ReplyDeleteGreat scene, VP, I understand why you would miss this!
ReplyDeleteWater seems to be the thing for many people!
ReplyDeleteI don't know a lot about your city but I have always enjoyed and appreciated your photos of the port and the water and the ships...like this huge container ship!
ReplyDeleteWho needs video games and cells when you have this scene.
ReplyDeleteI would never get tired of watching what goes on here. That ship is huge and I love the way the sky looks!
ReplyDeleteYou have here a permanent show ! :)
