The Green Bin

New green garbage bin, Livorno
A new type of nicely painted public garbage bin. While we were away, Livorno underwent a well publicized and extraordinary cleaning and sprucing up of its center. The effects of this effort are not impressive.

I was quite worried about my favorite planter, but I am glad to say that it was left as it was on August 25.

    This makes me think CDP Theme Day should do a day of public trash bins in the world.

    This is a beautiful garbage bin with a nice design, I wonder for what the hole is... certainly not for the rain...
