Clet Abraham for Sale

Roundabout sign with a running man inside, Clet Abraham, piazza Mazzini, Livorno
If you want to buy a road sign “improved” by Clet Abraham, this may be the right occasion. After removing the modified signs at the time, the municipality of Livorno is now selling them on eBay:
Cartello stradale Rif N.40
Cartello stradale Rif N.43
Cartello stradale Rif N.46
Cartello stradale Rif N.58

  1. How fun is that! What a fun garden sign that would be. :)

  3. VP, you have to admit that Clet Abraham has a pretty good sense of humor. I like the one he did with a zipper.

  4. What an original way for your municipality to make some money!

But at those prices, I myself will have to pass on this opportunity.

  5. I wonder what they'll do with the money...

  6. Ha ha, I hope the artist will see some of that money.

  7. A pristine traffic sign costs already between 70 and 90 Euro, so not much value added here. I won't spend a penny on some neatly taped road signs, but it seems that some art lover in our municipality would now like better these things in an 'exhibition'...
Clet Abraham is really a marketing genius!

  11. I guess I would have gone for Rif N.46. Ha-ha!

Does that mean that LIVORNO ( I mean the politicians who have to do with money,) bought the art, and than sold it again to get perhaps more money for it ...... ?

I will not tell the Norwegian politicians about it. Not yet.

  12. 70-90 Euros for a normal sign?? Oi, that annoys me even more if I think how carelessly Jerusalem street signs are painted, full of misspellings.

  13. Clever marketing or simply clever. I still love to see them in unexpected places.
