  2. wish I could have a clothesline on my patio...love the photo! might be breaking the rules but it saves electricity and it's nice to be able to hang clothes outside to dry

  3. There's rarely anything else as honest as clothes hanging outside to dry.

Maybe even a sign of spring getting close. Please have a wonderful Wednesday.

  5. Sometimes it's a question of space I should think VP, where else to hand it oui! This line of washing looks great against the rustic old walls of the building.

  8. I just hang mine on a drying rack inside. But I do think they add some kind of charm outside the windows. :)

  9. I quite like stiff line-dried clothes. No ironing needed. I don't even have a dryer.
I think your picture is nice.

  12. Da me al Sud stendere i panni dove si può è una pratica molto diffusa, comunque non condanno molto l'antiesteticità di questa vecchia usanza!!

  17. Hey! I found out about your blog on google earth; me and my family are currently living in Beirut, Lebanon, but we are originary from Livorno.
My mother is a painter (give a look to her canvas here http://paolavincenti.blogspot.com/ )

She wishes to paint a specific view of Livorno. Since we will not be able to go there before summer, could you please help us with that ? (There is a precise view that she wishes to have in picture)

If you're willing to help contact me on evz.aub@gmail.com

  18. Well, on the one hand, it does reduce energy use. But then again it really depends where they hang it. This actually looks like part of the decor :D

  20. I like this one. A few years ago a Swedish photographer traveled around the world taking clotheslines photos for an exhibition. It was very good and a bit different.
