Grates

Grates, vault, piazza della Repubblica, LivornoProbably the most famous grates in town are the large ones in “Piazza della Repubblica”, giving air and light to the “Fosso Reale” flowing underneath.Wall grate, LivornoA vintage grate ventilating a cavity floor, in “Corso Mazzini”.Wall grate, LivornoThis one, old and elaborate, was part of the ventilation system of a toilet and it is placed at eye level in “Via Ricasoli”.

  7. Visto che siamo nel mio campo di azione mi permetto di attribuire le funzioni delle grate, le prime danno, come detto, luce al "fosso reale", la seconda aria ad un vespaio sotto pavimento di un abitazione e la terza è l'areazione..... di un cesso.
