I didn't notice this for years and it's next door of my mom's.Not sure if it's a handle, but it was on a front door in “Via Verdi”.Same street, not far from the lion head, probably polished daily.
These are great knockers! Or door decoratives (lion). I often notice and enjoy them, or special door handles... and that would make another interesting subject for a collaborative blog...
An angel, one lion and a sweet dove ( well, I imagine it is a stylished bird!), amazing details for doors, all very polish and well care. They are adorable details, I imagine there good produts to polish and it doesn't get much work. :) Léia

All three are beautiful, but I like the angel handle (or is it a knocker?) best. I'm glad you finally noticed it. Love the textures of the different woods too.
They are all very different and very pretty!:)
ReplyDeleteNice posting.
I would fear to use them. How hope providing a sight. Please have a good Thursday.

ReplyDeleteIt just proves how we start to notice things because we are now photo bloggers.
ReplyDeleteLove that lion.
I love these handles--specially the first one. Funny you never noticed it before. Open your eyes now. heheheh
ReplyDeleteI would hate to have to polish them but would love to have them.

Oh, you know how much I love them - all are superb, but the lion is my favourite!
ReplyDeleteYou're definitely getting a handle on handles.
ReplyDeleteI love handles and these are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI love your collection here! Especially the first one...the things you don't notice ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you knocked on the doors and ran away!
ReplyDeleteGreat series.
The lion is a nice one. He does not look too silly like some of the others we've seen in Livorno!
ReplyDeleteI love handles and I photographed a lot. Especially in Malta there are a lot of them.
