three lovely subjects today, the yellow elephant is cute, the vase with so perfect reflection is perfection, and those dolls...Hmmm I would love to have all, the basket with those dolls is mine! :) Have a nice day, Léia
I would purchase every one of them! The suspended elephant photo is so lovely.
I need an authoratative translation from you. :) My friends and I saw Le Nozze di Figaro (conducted by Placido Domingo himself!!) last night and are trying to figure out if the translation for "spatola impressa" is really "strawberry mark", a specific type of birthmark, or is it a splatula-shaped birthmark. What is the Italian term for "strawberry birthmark"? Thanks much.
@ Tash - The Italian for birthmark is “voglia” which means also desire, craving, with the obvious implications... In the case of Figaro this is the plot device to reconcile him with his long lost parents. The shape of the birthmark in this case would be decisive and probably this one was really spatula-shaped.
What a great place it must be to spend a whole day, passing by, without being felt.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good new week.

VP, I love the pitcher image with your reflection. Great image.
ReplyDeleteI like the picture of reflections in a pitcher...
ReplyDeleteThis must be essentially a flea market, right?
I also love the pitcher with the reflections.
ReplyDeleteI like the elephant best!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Halcyon! Looks like fun shopping.
ReplyDeleteThe magic of reflections!
ReplyDeleteA picture in a pitcher---oh so clever. MB
ReplyDeleteThe dolls appear to get along fairly well, all things considered.
ReplyDeleteAdoro i mercatini ho trovato sempre delle meraviglie e le tue foto lo confermano
ReplyDelete@ Jacob - They wouldn't call it a flea market here, but it is not much more than that...
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice market... Is it once a week or once a month?
ReplyDeleteLee brought back elephants like that from India. I love the pitcher, but like many of us with cameras, you remain elusive.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting Sunday at the market.

Thanks much VP. My friends and I will be asking you more in the future.
ReplyDeleteOn a different topic, I hope "La prima cosa bella" does well in the Oscars. Can't wait to see it.
I love Sunday markets as much as country walks! My favourit is the middle one:)
ReplyDeleteThe double reflection on the pitcher is so clear! My favorite shot today :-D
ReplyDeleteGreat reflections in the middle pic, VP!
ReplyDeleteLooks like I join the rest... I'm all over the pitcher!
