I had a casual encounter with the local representative of the Birds Against Moby organization. Our friend is concerned about the discomfort and the anguish the feathered critters suffer watching, on the sides of the Moby ferries, daily images of giant cats chasing defenseless birds.
They strongly suggest that cats must be depicted in more positive and respectful attitudes toward birds.

I agree!
ReplyDeleteI want to ride on that ship! Nice shots.
ReplyDeleteWell we all know that Sylvester seldom catches Tweety and when he gets close something bad happens to the cat. I think the birds are all aware of that. Writers have feathers you know. MB
ReplyDeleteI think that particular cat is only interested in yellow birds.
ReplyDeleteLovely post!
I can almost see it now, you listening to the sparrow and trying to keep a serious face. :D
ReplyDeleteOf course! Even our feathered friends deserve to be treated with political correctness... (excuse me while I run to the bathroom...) :-D Interesting looking bird, by the way...
ReplyDeleteGreat bird pic, and a hilarious story about it! I believe they also will appreciate if we stop calling a photo "a shot".
ReplyDeleteI agree! My little Luna has some birds friends and in our balcony in Brazil she used to be very happy with a special friend, a cute hummingbird, every morning to say hello!

*** By the way, I'm not that kind fan of Frajola. :)
@ Francisca - As you may guess, I'm not a great admirer of political correctness... I just try to behave, but sometimes it's hard!
ReplyDelete@ Svenske Floyd - You are right!
@VP - You and me both. Right up there with "group think"... yuck! And yes, I've only followed you a few weeks, but I'm quite certain you're the authentic straight-shootin' type of guy! Just tell it like you see it, VP... I bet I can handle it. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great capture, VP! Funny post! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm voting with the bird. Cool post :-)
ReplyDeleteMy adage: Let the birds BEWARE!
ReplyDeleteThe bird looks very tough I think.
ReplyDeleteI can never get the birds to stand still. This is a really wonderful shot of the cute bird...and I must agree :D
