Piaggio P166

Piaggio P166, Coast Guard, LivornoOur Coast Guard sometimes helps lazy photographers looking for a picture to post, flying small planes just over their terraces. This is a great service and I quickly took advantage of it.Piaggio P166, Coast Guard, LivornoThe plane is a Piaggio P166, with its typical rear-facing propellers.

  1. I think you should send the Coast Guard the photos along with a small check to reimburse the pilots for their trouble.

I mean, really! To provide you with an opportunity to take such beautiful photos deserves some recompense!

  2. Lucky you, having such visitors overhead!! And together with birds!

What a strange plane. It seems like they put the engines on backwards. :)

  3. How lucky you are to have your own plane and pilot---just so you can take pictures. Does the Coast Guard know this?
I like the rear-facing propellers. MB

    BTW: Niblet loved the blackbird.

  9. We have these planes flying by our deck in Michigan all summer long. They are fantastic machines. I will probably have a shot or two of them this summer.
