Sorry for two walks in a row, but yesterday my trip was very short because I visited the monthly Sunday market in “Piazza Cavour”.There is not much of original here, you can see this stuff almost everywhere, but I always like the many different photo ops.I caught a bunch of the most serious dogs I have ever met, a sad-eyed owl and this little guy in top hat, trapped in a sea of brass.
More Walks
Yep, the guy in the top hat needs to consider repositioning himself a bit. I like the first shot but I can't figure out what the bottom painting is all about. Any idea?
ReplyDeleteI love the last one. It's just beautiful if you ask me. A bunch of just stuff. Excellent :)
ReplyDeleteYou've chosen some interesting vignettes to photograph. I like the composition and content. Well done!
ReplyDeleteA fun mix of trash and treasures! Fun stroll with your camera!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Thom. Your sea of brass is really a beautiful image.
ReplyDeleteA delightful walk, VP! Did you buy any of these colorful goodies?
ReplyDeletehe-he. Love the caption. Did you resist those puppy eyes looking at you and asking you to take them home. I like the brass jumble...I'd spend a good long time searching thru that. Aw, and the owl, aw.
ReplyDeleteGreat macros!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Thom on the last one. :)
The paintings are so vibrant and full of life. They would make a great collection in any room.
ReplyDeleteThe fancy bottles I like also.
Cheers.
I never can help visiting such places. There's always something to find. I love owl, is cool, and my favourite is the last one!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week:)
You did a good job again, I feel like being there. I like the picture with the dogs, they are so typical for these modern day markets.
ReplyDeleteBelle le tue foto. Meno male che parlano anche italiano, così le capisco.
ReplyDeleteI must say, I really love those African scenes! And the sea of brass (if only they needed less cleaning).
ReplyDeleteOh, and thank you for correcting my translation! I thought it just referred to the church — I like it that the dedication also included 'ourselves.'
ReplyDeleteGreat results from those walks.
ReplyDeleteYes, all this crap makes for better photos than the crap deserves. Wonderful photos - people actually buy this stuff?
ReplyDeleteI love these sunday street markets :))
ReplyDeleteI love the paintings!I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteDi tutto di più. Belle foto. Ciao.
ReplyDeleteI really like the owl.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy taking photos at markets and I have to say, these ones are really very good! I love the last one and the one with the vases.
ReplyDelete@ Per - I've no idea...
ReplyDelete@ Jacob - Never! I thought for a while to save the little man, though...
@ Wolynski - Actually, not much!
@ rom, Alberto - Grazie, è un po' che panso a una versione italiana (vero Michela?) ma per ora non c'è molto interesse in giro...
ReplyDeleteFunny, we have the exact same paintings. I really don't understand why you didn't buy anything.;-) It is all so tasteful...
ReplyDeletePS: I don't mean to offend anyone...
ReplyDeleteThis market seems so interesting! Could be a good way to spend some time relaxing and checking stuff...
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
Cezar
Splendid walk: I love the little guy
ReplyDeleteso small that I had not seen!

You got a Posty: I want to give 15 postcards :)
Some things don't change that much from one place to another. Loved the post.
ReplyDeletelovely paintings and artifacts! :-)
ReplyDelete- Pixellicious Photos
I would have to agree with Leif.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great set this is! The last photo is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteI try very hard to keep little stuff designed to store dust out of my house, but I really enjoy staring at it at the market. You captured great details - I like the bold hot colors of the paintings.
