This old cannon is placed on an embankment of the Fortezza Nuova and it is pointed towards Porta San Marco (Saint Mark's Gate), in memory of the defense of the city against the Austrian troops in 1849.

ReplyDeleteSuper composition VP. I missed the cannon fire at Kings Park by about 5 minutes on Australia Day unfortunately.
