Birdman

Livorno
Usually it would be hard to call a friend someone who you have never met, but this was not the case with our fellow blogger Birdman, from Portland, Maine. Sadly I am saying ‘was’ because, as most of us already know, he passed away suddenly last Sunday. Here you can read his last post, brilliant as always. May he rest in peace, we will miss his stories and his comments.

  6. You say it so perfectly, VP. Our sadness at Birdman's passing just proves that special friendship among us bloggers who have never met face to face but only word to word. His memory will be a blessing.

  9. This is terrible news, but thank you for your post. I've missed seeing Birdman's posts, but thought he was otherwise engaged. I always looked forward to seeing his photos and reading his stories. He was proficient with both photography and the written word. He will be greatly missed by all of us who thought of him as a friend, but never met him.

  11. Such a tribute. I felt exactly the same way. Found myself in tears going to work. He posted on my blog on the 15th and died on the 16th. Strangely, I was connected to him in his last 24 hours. Such a strange sensation. Thank you for the fabulous tribute.

Maybe we should start this tradition for our CDP bloggers and remember them on our websites.
