The corner building between Via dei Fanciulli and Via Sansoni. Via dei Fanciulli (Street of the Young Boys) took its name around 1860 from a nearby Jewish school which attracted a lot of children. Eugenio Sansoni (1828-1906) was the first mayor of Livorno. (Photo taken last July)

I'm just curious about what people do with that corner in their room. :-)
ReplyDeleteRevrunner said the same thing I was thinking of!
ReplyDeleteA great perspective on this photo. That building looks like it is going to come off of my computer!

Yes I agree, excellent image of this triangle (?) building VP.
ReplyDeleteWOW! The building sure does come to a sharp point.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot! Love the composition.
ReplyDeleteWhat a curious building, love the geometry and the composition !
ReplyDeleteI love this street scene. It reminds me so much of my first few hours in Rome and navigating the streets around my hotel.
ReplyDeleteI do remember one of these V buildings in Rome. This one has much more of an angle, though. I am a little surprised to see some parking spaces open, however. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a sharp point on that building, VP!
ReplyDeleteYour very own Flatiron!
ReplyDeleteI am trying to imagan what it would be to live and furniture the flat in the middle.
ReplyDeleteGreat image!
Interesting, the name and the Jewish school.
ReplyDeleteThe architect of this building had to deal with a remarkably acute angle. It is hard to see how the room near the point can be very useful.
