The corner building between Via dei Fanciulli and Via Sansoni. Via dei Fanciulli (Street of the Young Boys) took its name around 1860 from a nearby Jewish school which attracted a lot of children. Eugenio Sansoni (1828-1906) was the first mayor of Livorno.

ReplyDeleteI do remember one of these V buildings in Rome. This one has much more of an angle, though. I am a little surprised to see some parking spaces open, however. :)

Interesting, the name and the Jewish school.
ReplyDeleteThe architect of this building had to deal with a remarkably acute angle. It is hard to see how the room near the point can be very useful.
