Killer Gulls

Gull eating a pigeon, Fosso Reale, Livorno
The usual brilliant minds have recently discovered what everybody here already knows: Livorno is invaded by gulls. These guys are also a bit confused about the number of the beasts and even more about what to do about this. Please do not click on this image if you are not ready for something quite crude.

  5. I'm with Jose VP, I have a Peregrine falcon that likes to hunt the doves, it always seems to enjoy this activity right outside my bedroom window.. c'est la vie!
    P.s. I'm not happy about it :)

  9. It's a terrific photo, VP! I don't think gulls worry much about blood and guts - especially when they're hungry! Actually, that's true about most animals. I doubt if I would eat meat if I saw how it was prepared. :)
