In view of the next regional elections in May, hundreds of millions of euro (which nobody has) are being promised to transform Livorno in the first port of the known Universe. Long overdue means it'll also end up costing more.
ReplyDeleteInteresting photo of this colorful dredge. Their work keeps harbors open for commercial shipping.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the saying, "Slow and steady wins the race." But probably not the political race.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a big job.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors VP.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a boring job.
ReplyDeleteAh, the joys of politics!
ReplyDeleteI am retired so I real love watching people work. ;)
ReplyDeleteI like the combination of the colors here.
ReplyDeleteSounds like your politicians are very much like the ones here in Canada promising money nobody had. Glad the channel is being dug out!
ReplyDeleteAmazing how much crap accumulates on the bottom in such a relatively short time. Big ports know this is their livelihood.
ReplyDeleteThe dredgers are the hard workers of the harbour! Must get down to Fremantle harbour soon :)
ReplyDeletecreusons, creusons
ReplyDeleteIt is the same everywhere - no money!
ReplyDeleteWhen will they stop with their hollow promises...
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, as William said, the long overdue probably means more expensive too.
If they really do improve the port, just think of the new pictures you'll get. Maybe ...
ReplyDeleteI am imagining a workman's song to accompany that task! Maybe Volga Boatman.

Someone seems to distrust politicians. That is unheard of!
