Theme Day: Zest

Grand Soleil GS 40 sail number FRA 35428 inside the port of Livorno
Sailboats usually do not sail into the port, but this Grand Soleil GS 40 is an exception...

  1. Good choice, VP. I'm sure the captain of that boat feels the same way.

  2. I guess the zest here is provided by the wind. I do hope it was more than a zephyr.

  4. It must take really good seamanship and lots of zest to sail into a port.

  5. I see it VP, the yacht flying along, sails full of sea breeze, the yachtsmen doing their best to control it.. in fact, it may be a little too zesty for me :)

  6. What a gorgeous shot. This is one that could be framed and hanged! Great theme day shot, too.

  11. Unusual for a sailboat to be under sail with only the mainsail out. Since there is no jib sail that boat may be more difficult to control as it might be out of balance. Great shot for the topic. Sailing is always zesty.
