The 216-meter “Costa neoRiviera” was born in 1999 as “Mistral” at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique, in Saint-Nazaire, France. From 2003 to 2013 she was “Grand Mistral” and took her actual name only last year. She can carry 1600 passengers with a crew of 670.

670 crew members!!! Jiminy Cricket, you could go to war with that many board! Just kidding. :-)
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I shall have to try a cruise on such a ship. I've done small cruises on small ships and they were OK. I think I might get claustrophobic even on a ship this size if we got out of sight of land. I was in the U.S. Navy, but spent my time at naval air stations, not aboard ship! :)
ReplyDeleteA nice ship, VP.
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice looking ship. I keep saying I am going to go on a cruise one day, but then I hear about all the stories of people getting sick and I don't think I can do it.
ReplyDeleteThat's a big crew!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly where this condo is! :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy and safe sailing to her.
ReplyDeleteLooks nice, but I'll skip the Costa cruises.
ReplyDeleteI'm always fascinated of these ships, great image, VP!
ReplyDeleteThe ship's lines are handsome, even though it is much bigger than the kind of cruise ship I like. We signed up today to take a one week cruise from the Naples area around Sicily on a 64-person ship (following a week hiking in Capri and the Amalfi Coast).
ReplyDeleteYou always get the best ship perpectives!
