  1. That is fabulous. The only problem with bougainvillea is the thorns. Well, it also doesn't take well to cold weather. We had love bushes growing on a fence next to our pool at our house in east Ocala, but finally a cold winter killed them. They were hard to cut down and get rid of with those thorns. But their bright red color was wonderful during the summer.
