Many younger kids have never been before inside the recently reopened Fortezza Nuova.
I have never been able to discover if this teepee of sorts had some kind of cover.
A bench with a view and a nicely restored cannon at hand.

ReplyDeleteHopefully the cannon isn't pointed at the teepee, lol! The first shot is marvellous, it has to be a brilliant place for kids to play and learn about history!
ReplyDeleteciel - The cannon is pointed at the San Marco Gate as a memorial to popular resistance during the siege of Livorno by the Austrians troops in 1849. The tepee is safely behind the gun.
