Costa Concordia

Costa Concordia, IMO: 9320544, Isola del Giglio
Here is the “Costa Concordia” wreck just outside Giglio Porto, on the Isola del Giglio. We are not in Livorno and we are even outside our province, but the Costa Concordia disaster happened inside the area of the Livorno MRSC (Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre).

  2. This picture is one that will never leave our memory.
Your Wiki link reads like a horror story. There was one error after another, that fateful night, including this about the captain:
"However, the ship's first officer, Ciro Ambrosio, told investigators that Schettino had left his reading glasses in his cabin and repeatedly asked Ambrosio to check the radar for him."

  4. I remember.....
Also the face of the captain and the voice of the coast guard man, ( a telephone call) that followed the film/the news on TV.

A disaster that should not have happened!!

And the captain left the place.... Crazy!!
