Music Pavilion

The “Padiglione della Musica” (Music Pavilion) was built in 1935 by the architect Ghino Venturi, when the “Terrazza Mascagni” was still named after the local Fascist leader, Costanzo Ciano.

Destroyed in the Second World War, the structure was rebuilt in 1998 as closely possible to the original and now it is called simply “Gazebo”.

    The most interesting thing in these two photo is how crowded it was then and how empty now.
