Horseshoe

Horseshoe, ribbons, bells, hot peppers and ladybug, LivornoI saw this horseshoe in “Via Ricasoli”: it has probably something to do with the Holidays and good luck, but it is hard to decipher completely...

  1. From where I come from, it is said, that you will find the luck of the world upon the back of a horse.
Miss chilli in my food. Please have a good new week ahead.

  2. Peppers? That I didn't know. It is very colorful and yes, it looks like a Holiday ornament.

  3. Where I live you must hang the horseshoe pointing up to retain the good luck, else it all falls out. Though, I must say I do like this with the chilies.

  10. It's well made and cheerful. It doesn't need to mean anything (even if it does). Have never seen a ladybird on a Christmas decoration before but with their bright red coats I wonder why not.

  11. I am having trouble deciphering it too! The colours are definitely christmassy but the peppers? :-) It's lovely though!

  12. I can almost hear the sleigh bells as the horse pulls the sleigh over snow on a forest road.

  16. Hmmm... I thought you had to hang it upside down for good luck. And I don't know what peppers have to do with the holidays. But it's all good! :)
