Brass has a wonderful texture. It is not a true metal is it? I think it is some sort of composite of two true metals. I have no idea, but I do like this mystery object.
Okay... I was first thinking holy water holder. But it also makes an attractive ash holder! I found this theme day rather difficult. Your choice was a good one. :)
I had to click VP, didn't recognise it without the rope haha! I seriously hope they don't still use it as an ashtray, it's way too beautiful for that purpose!!
