Inneggiamo

The “Easter Hymn” from the opera “Cavalleria rusticana” by the Livornese Pietro Mascagni.

We rejoice that our Saviour is living!
He all-glorious arose from the dead;
Joys of heaven the Lord to us giving,
All the sorrows of darkness are fled!

Performarce by the Ensemble of the Vienna State Opera Chorus with the soloist Jee Hye Han, Korea 2010.

  1. A joy for the sense of sound.

    Over here, currently a lot of Ambulance cars passing by, as it is a custome to celebrate Easter with explosives.

    Please have a good Sunday you all.

  3. Thoroughly enjoyed the video and the singing! Lovely voices! I have a young friend who sang at my husband's funeral who is currently in college majoring in music! She is going to go for her masters in music also...her goal is to become an opera singer. There is a video of her on my blog under the tab Electic Music...she has red hair and goes to Longwood University. Have a Happy Easter VP! Ciao!
