Villa Fabbricotti, Livorno A part of the park of “Villa Fabbricotti”, in front of the villa, is used during summer as an outdoor cinema: the “Arena Fabbricotti”.Arena Fabbricotti, LivornoThe seating was temporary at first, usually appearing just before summer. 1. They leave those chairs out all winter, during storms and snow and ice? It would be too hot to sit outside and watch a movie here during the summer. Too hot for me, anyway.

    I sure feel sorry for poor Giuseppe...but then I've heard he's a stiff-necked fellow!

Thanks, Trillian, for your so kind comments! Nice to hear from you!

  4. Looks like a fab setting for an open-air cinema, although the screen is quite small. Have you ever watched any movies there?

  5. You can't blame him, no one wants to miss a good movie! I wish we had more outdoor theaters here :D

  6. Lovely place for a movie viewing. But I don't think I like the idea of the seats being there all the time. Can't even take a photo of the beautiful building without the projector shack marring the view.

I hope Modigliani doesn't strain his neck too much.

  7. What a charming setting for an outdoor movie theatre! Is it well attended? Do they play special kinds of movies? It looks to me like a place where people would open up and talk to strangers, not like in a modern movie house, where no one says a peep to anyone except with whom they came.

  9. That's pretty cool, I hope they show some good films. Do you ever go? It must be nice to watch a movie with Modigliani's brother.
