We were looking for the “Otto e Mezzo Studios” in the quarter of Shangay, when we found this house in “Viale Diacinto Cestoni”.The facade is unusually decorated by a couple of azulejo panels.
I was going to say that this is the kind of thing I would expect to find on JM's blog. Nice to see that it has been exported to Livorno. But evidently, it is not what you would expect to see...
Re your comment on The Villages: If you ever get over here you will soon discover that no two golf cars are the same... :-)
Reminds me of art I have seen on a couple of islands. Madeira and the Azures. Very pretty and nice! You are surrounded with lots of history and art! Lucky you!
Imported from Oeiras maybe? ;) A nice surprise for you. I learn from your link that tiles on a building help in temperature control. We need that right now.

ReplyDeleteSuddenly, I feel like I've stepped into Oeiras by mistake.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely surprise!
Great shots. Here, in Brazil, we find azulejos in many places and buildings.

These are so pretty. They have nice work like this in South America as well. You just don't ever see them in The United States.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect background for those beautiful tiles.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful additions to any wall.
ReplyDeleteI think these tiles are beautiful and the home owner is awesome. MB

I was also thinking 'Portugal' here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference a few glazed tiles can make.
Sevilla. Very pretty and unusual as you say.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to come home to.
ReplyDeleteI love the contrast with the colors on the walls.
ReplyDeleteI love those panels. My husband wanted to get some for our house, but I'm not sure they would fit!
ReplyDeleteNow I see what you meant yesterday, but I can't agree, VP! :-) These are lovely tile panels and the contrast to the wall great colour is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI thought of JM's blog too when I saw this! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAahh, nice Portuguese art!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

Are those pinecones in the second photo? The tiles are really beautiful!
