Easy Walk

I began my Sunday walk with a “tattooed” Smart.A lovely spot in “Piazza della Vittoria”, almost the same of Ménio.I have found a cartoonish lion staring at me from a shop window.Nine chimneys, a more chaotic version of the six chimneys...The golden man careful observes the area of “Piazza Benamozegh”, he has probably heard that someone wants to build a multi-storey car park there. The “infradito” (flip-flops) is one of the luckily unsung symbols of Livorno, here in souvenir version, with dolphins jumping in front of the “Fortezza Vecchia”.

  1. Got to say I love your Sunday "walks"!

The tattoo is terrific...could cause an accident, though! :-)

I have a hard time seeing a "lion" in that cartoon.

The chimneys are indeed chaotic. But, hey, if they work...

Golden man must be Livorno's version of Big Brother!

Flipflops - I don't like no matter how they're decorated. They hurt my toes. Plus they come off and I stumble like a bum (of course, that could be do to age, also!)

Have a great "hump" day (that's what we United Stadians call Wednesday.

  2. Those chimneys make me think of a pipe organ and that gets me wondering about the sounds of Livorno.

  9. Hi VP! Re your comment on The Villages: No, that golf car is not mine! Heh, heh. If I was to customize a golf car, I'd do something more sleek. And I don't have $10K to put into a golf car! For that money, I'd grab Lois Anne and head to Livorno where we have friends.

  10. More interesting pictures! I am in agreement with Jacob on the flipflops. I can't wear them because they are too uncomfortable and I'm afraid I will trip and fall. Those in the picture are quite fancy though!

  11. Another lion! He's cute though, in a modern way. Not sure about that tattoed Smart though...

MaryBeth at Small City Scenes says you have a bench blog but I don't see it here. I have a bench she says you might like at eastgwillimburywow.blogspot.com.
