Straight Walk

My walk starts with the window of a model shop in “Via Mentana”.Same street, a tagger likes the bakery next door (in English). The plaque says to the mailman: “Mailboxes are at number 99”.A lady vanished leaving only a pair of shoes and a cigarette butt.“Via Gramsci”, a leafed monster is trying to catch the street lamp.Same street: after the most stupid-faced lion, here's the ugliest!

  1. You have a great sense of humor and a great photographic eye! The little ships seem so "Italian" - can't imagine why...

    The tagging is cute, but...

You'd think the mailman would know where to find the mailboxes...

Now, that pair of shoes and cigarette butts are very, very mysterious. The shoes look expensive, too. Maybe she fell in love on the beach and was swept up in her lover's arms and never missed having no shoes?

The leaf monster got me laughing as did the ugly lion.

    You weren't lying about that!

  3. I like the way you select small details (the cigarette butt, for example). Your walks are more varied and diverse than mine.

  5. Oh, this was a very productive walk you've taken us on and now we must all wonder what happened to the lady who lost her shoes. I knew there were hazards to smoking but I never imagined something like this.

  6. Are you SURE that's a lion??? haha. Great photos today! Especially the lady's shoes. I wonder where she went barefooted!

  7. Your commentary has be laughing out loud.

Has "the Rapture" come to Livorno, taking only one woman? :)

  8. What a hoot! The vanishing act comes to Livorno.
These are all great and so are your captions.

The ships made me laugh too. The little yellow one? You get exactly the same ones in France. I wonder if they are now made in China and if we should compare prices.

  9. What a great walk, with SO many things to take note of. Starting with teeny boats and ending with the strange faced Lion I hesitate to say 'ugly'--after all he may have a Mother somewhere. MB

  10. The funny thing about this walk is that I never made a turn, walking almost straight from the first picture to the last...

  15. You've made my day with this post, VP!!! I wonder what's happended to this lady - vanished after seeing leafed monster or maybe the strange - faced - lion:)

  16. @ ciel - You are right: if you look closely at the boat, a Made in China tag is visible on the mast!

    @ B Squared - I thought it was a familiar face...

@ James - This could be a good explanation of the vanishing!

@ Halcyon - I'm running out of lions, but I still have some new ones to catch.
