Sun, Moon and Starfish

After some vintage marine monsters, let's have a look at the funny “winter collection” outside “Federica's Corner”, a shop we have already seen last spring, usually the final stop of my Sunday walks. This butterfly is clearly flying too close to the sun.Owl and son are striking a pose over a moon flirting with the sun.A sea star touches the “universo” (universe) just near the Virgo...

  2. How many glasses of wine have you had today??? :) I like your photos, and your stories animate the images. Now I feel like I've met them, but I don't know if that's a good thing or not. I do like the sea star. Funny post.

  5. I'm assuming this wonderful artifacts are for sale. Do people put them on their houses or apartment walls?

They do have a certain charm. But I don't think I'd hang them up.

  8. They're really cute, my favorite is the owl with its baby. When I'll be visiting Livorno (I hope I do someday) I'll make sure to stop by Federica's.

  9. This store is very charming, I loved the pieces, especially the Owl.Here ( for the French language) the owl also represents sympathy, joy and owl in Brazil is wisdom. Is there some specific mean to the Italians?

  10. Universal images, and I love them. These are beautifully, and remind me of Mexico.

  12. These are cute. Represent our happy attitude about the world nowadays. But is the new tone of cuteness realistic enough or is the world better represented by the scary sea monsters. I say the monsters are more like it, but I rather see the happy faces in my house.

  14. @ tapirgal - Glasses? Bottles!

@ Léia - I think we are more like Brazil: wise, with a hint of boring.

  17. B Squared: Don't tell the Moon but it's sort of unilateral. The Sun hasn't been known to reflect admiration in quite the same way...

  18. Are these meant to be decorations hung on fences and the sides of houses? I think people here would hang them in their gardens.

  20. I like all of them! Very fine details.

You've given me an idea about what to do with the blank wall beside our garage. I hope I can find some as well-made as these.
