These are house numbers from all over Livorno, all “deviants” from the regular black and white standard issue.A regular tile issued by the “Comune” (Municipality) of Livorno.
Beautiful collage. I love looking at numbers and often photograph them too. You know my preference is still for the regular tile issued by the commune.
@ Léia - I know that a friend is using some of these number to play the Superenalotto. @ Saretta - I am afraid that the only lemon trees in Livorno are on that tile, but I know of potted plants kept here in verandas and giving good fruits.
It's interesting to see how people express their individuality even in small ways. This is a nice section of house numbers. They look nice.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, great collage indeed!
ReplyDeleteThank you for noticing these, showing them to us, and also showing the standard by which to compare them.
ReplyDeleteThe numbers and your photo are quite creative! Makes the "regular" tile look rather plain...blah?
ReplyDeleteWe don't get house numbers issued. Lucky you guys. I liek the non standard ones better,t hough! :-D
ReplyDeleteNeat collection of house numbers!
ReplyDeleteI left a comment below and added a note about benches. Please check out what I wrote there.
Clever, colorful, collage! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteNice deviants, for sure :)
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely one of my favourite post - I just love those numbers!!!
ReplyDeleteWill have to give closer look to numbers here:)
Here numbers are issued to homes in the country to make it easier for emergency vehicles to find places but not in the towns.

ReplyDeleteThose are lovely!
ReplyDeletePretty signs, some more graphic than others. The way you have made this "postcard" is very nice.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I prefer the white and red one to the standard issue!
ReplyDeleteA study of numerology? :)
ReplyDeleteAll of them are wonderful!
Cool idea for a post,
Léia
I particularly like the number 13. Nice idea!
ReplyDeleteEach one is unique and beautiful in it's own right.
ReplyDeleteEven the regular tile is nice with the coat of arms.
ReplyDeleteI like the one with the lemons the best...do you have many lemon trees in Livorno?
ReplyDeleteSame word here... “comune”... "kommun".

Those are so pretty. In the USA they right it pretty too. In Bulgaria they just scribble-scrabble them with paint.
ReplyDeleteI like number 15 & 86. Tiles make everything so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNice "deviants". They are quite pretty, even the standard one with the coat of arms.
